Potato Bake
- Butter - 2 table spoons
- Grated mozzarella cheese - 500gms
- Whole cream milk - 1 cup
- Smoked Paprika
- Plain white flour - 2 tablespoons
- Potatoes - 7-8 large
- Grated mozzarella cheese
- Parmesan Cheese
Instructions for potato bake
- Peel and cut potatoes into scallops, 0.3 - 0.5cm thick
- Boil potato scallops until soft, drain.
- Layer potatoes onto baking tray. Cover each layer with layer of white sauce and grated mozzarella.
- After last layer of potatoes cover with white sauce, mozzarella, and layer of Parmesan. Sprinkle smoked Paprika on top
- Bake in oven at 150 Celsius until golden-brown (30-45 minutes).
Instructions for white sauce:
- Heat 1 cup milk in microwave oven
- Melt 2 table spoons of butter in saucepan
- Add milk to saucepan, bring to simmer
- Slowly add flour, whisking as you go
- Stop adding flour at desired consistency - should be syrup-like but not lumpy, keep whisking until lumps are gone
